Every guy knows that what is shown in the above video “Why men and women can’t be friends” is generally true by default. Apparently, while not as ready to admit or acknowledge it, so do most women. You see, ladies, me and every other male want to have sex with you. It’s not something we decided. It was decided by nature. Fortunately, we humans have the option to shift into manual override and act against our natural instincts. So men may not consciously be trying to have sex with their female friends, but given the opportunity and no expectations of negative consequences, you are more than likely going to get it for your guy pal.
That’s how it is, but it raises ethical the questions of how each party may best respond to this aspect of the man/woman friendship. If a woman knows her guy friend is waiting for an opportunity to hook up with her, is it pretty much like hanging a carrot over his head to continue to hang out with him? Is it ethical to continue that type of relationship?
These questions are directed specifically toward exclusive friendships where a woman and her guy friend are mostly alone together. The ones where he lends a sympathetic ear to her problems and then tries to cheer her up by letting her practice her beautician skills on his face, applying just the right shade of lipstick to make his eye “pop” and then promptly returning to ignoring the fact that he has any male genitalia to speak of. This is not directed so much at the kind of friendly interactions that generally take place in a group setting. (more…)

Redneck Judge William Adams has lost all credibility as a human being worth spitting on as a video showing him beating his sixteen year old daughter with a belt is going viral. The reason for this horrible abuse toward his own daughter? She disobeyed his command to stop downloading files on the internet via Kazaa.
Although this scene of blatant child abuse (by a scum bag granted the authority to judge others no less) is disturbing enough by itself, the video is quickly becoming an icon of the harsh overreaction to file-sharing that is encouraged by large copyright profiteers and executed by U.S. court judges such as the dishonorable Judge William “Bane of Little Girls” Adams.
Hollywood lobbyists, copyright trolls and corrupt judges & legislators have long been the angry, computer-fearing redneck with a leather belt, beating the legs out from under defenseless citizens all in the name of “respect my authority.” Thank you Judge William “Little Girl Beater” Adams for putting a face to these despicable people that will now be the first thing the world thinks of each time a story is published of governments or Hollywood one percenters seeking to beat the other 99% into submission.

2004: Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams took a belt to his own teenage daughter as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time. She has had ataxic cerebral palsy from birth that led her to a passion for technology, which was strictly forbidden by her father’s backwards views. The judge’s wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge’s wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist. Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can’t even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. There is a serious Pandora’s box that will be opened if we allow Blizzard’s new Diablo III game to lead to taxing players for the dollar value of weapons and items they find in the game. These things are imaginary items, ffs.
I like Blizzard’s games and the idea that they will have a system for players to sell items to each other in a legit forum is cool. But putting a tax on data is going too far. Not only will this subject unwitting players to owing taxes for items they may not even sell to other players, but it creates a terrible precedent for taxing all things virtual.
How are we expected to tax virtual items? Are we going to tax them on a per pixel basis? What happens when we treat unlimited resources as if they are limited goods to be taxed? Oh right. You get the US FIAT dollar and a nation that is trillions of dollars in the hole for being complete dumbasses and overlooking what is most obvious.
When will dinosaurs realize that playing a game for hours to find a rare game time for somebody else is a service that is being provided!? These are not limited commodities being sold. That is an illusion for people who still think computers run on magic. (more…)
Holy shit folks. I just found out that the new game, Diablo III, will have in-game prizes that they are giving a cash value to. What’s more is that they expect players to declare these items to the IRS and pay taxes upon receiving them, regardless of whether or not the item is sold! (more…)
