The founder of a new porn themed torrent tracker fapperbay.org told me in a jovial conversation, “The site currently has just one rule for uploads: No child porn or kiddie models. There are already people searching for child porn.” Despite only having opened registration less than two weeks ago, there have already been searches for “pre-teen hardcore” showing up in the search cloud. >_< Fucking pedos, right?

This got me wondering…

Update: This is a prime example of what inspired the following rant.

I decided I would investigate. I wanted to know, “why do pedos appear every time you are near, internet?”

I’ve been told by the owner of image host kopimg.com that when it was first published, someone uploaded quite a bunch of child porn that was removed. I then thought of other specific places on the internet; forums, trackers, etc., that I’ve personally known to have had issues with users trying to share kiddie pr0n.

In a recent conversation, a very well informed woman, bodacious to the core, made the point that societies which limit it’s citizens’ internet usage the most tend to produced a larger number of people who are skilled at circumventing such efforts. Something along those lines. I’m paraphrasing what I remember, but such censorship efforts tend to be milder in western democratic nations. Recent events have been a bit alarming, but for the most part, the are few categories that authorities often claim need more censorship on the internet.

The two biggest categories which come to mind for the most censored content are child porn and intellectual properties. From the authoritarian perspective, both of these are equally terrible and should never appear on the internet. There is only one distinction between intellectual properties and child porn from this perspective. You can legally host intellectual property that is licensed to you. On the contrary, you can’t legally post child porn, regardless of licensing. haha I amuse myself. ^_^

Why are the pedos so avante-garde on the internet? I mean, every time there is a new site, a pedo will soon pop up. I’m not just talking about porn related sites, but anything relying on user generated content. It’s like “if you build it, pedos will come.” It’s easy to assume that there is a huge underground militia dedicated to spreading child porn all over the internet. This was my first consideration at least, as well as the assumption that seems to be held by those who are in strongly favor of stopping child porn at all costs. “ZOMG CHILD PORN IS EVERYWHERE I LOOK ON THE INTERNET!!!” Yeah… well… stop looking at child porn then. FFS, I come across it here in there if I’m involved with a site, but it’s pretty damn rare that I come across it in my day to day internet browsing.

I really can’t imagine there are a relatively large percentage of internet users who are pedos. Despite there always being the occasional pedo incidents to be addressed on sites fuelled by user generated content, I don’t recall ever seeing a large percentage of people sharing CP on any sites that I’ve been involved with.

But I wanted at least some vague estimation of how many there are. So, reaching for experiences beyond my own, I inquired about how many users at fapperbay are actively searching for porn. Assuming each search request for a CP related topic was submitted by a different person, which is unlikely, it would account for under .008 of total users there seeking under age porn as of yet. That’s doesn’t seem very high to me and I am being generous as I would guess it’s one or two members based on what she told me. Given that it is a porn themed site to begin with tho, I wouldn’t be surprised if those numbers increase.

I wanted to know how the CP situation was for a much larger and older site, so I asked a couple of staff members at The Pirate Bay about how many pedos are banned in comparison to total registered members. Without having any way of producing exact numbers, it was guessed to be under .001 of total registered based on their own combined experience. It was said to be far less over at kopimg, which is a relatively small image host, but currently sees more traffic than fapperbay.

It would be great to do an in-depth survey of more sites for some solid figures for the pedo:user ratio, but I am doing this for free here so suck my balls! The lack of data is not surprising, tho, since even the number of pedos in the general population (afk included) is unknown, but estimated to be as high as over 9% (according to a Wikipedia entry for “pedophilia” that sites this article which I don’t actually intend to read). If the guesstimations I am working with are accurate and my calculations are correct, this 9% represents OVER 9000 times the .001 amount of pedos found among internet communities that do not tolerate the sharing of child porn. Yes. Whether you love it, hate, or just get over it, this is the reality of our world. Pedos: a few exist out there. Drink about it.

Now let’s look at the file-sharing community who suffer their own share of persecution and vilification from proponents of the “censorship will save us” crowd. I’ve noticed that in the face of attempts at limiting their ability to share data, the average file-sharing enthusiast tends to be more tech capable than the strictly web 2.0, “I just farted lol!” tweeting type of internet user.

I am in love with the file-sharing community as a whole. I want it to have my babies. A phrase, mind you, that I would never say about the pedo community. Yet, after half-assedly inquiring with a few site that I know to be otherwise very open about what users may share, I presume pedos to be more tech-savvy as well. At least they are when it comes to finding new sites or taking measures to hide their identity. Why? Because they are the only other community that has been placed so highly on the authorities’ “internet’s most wanted” censorship hit list. The result of which are two very different communities that are keen on circumventing censorship efforts.

Oh wait! A third group comes to mind that is more often censored than either of the previously mentioned group. Usually by admins rather than government authorities. The spammers have become masters of finding new sites and spamming them. These people must have spiders to rival googlebot. It’s what they do best. Much like spammers, pedos are often banned at most community sites once they are discovered. Both groups are driven to constantly search for a new location to share the information they intend to share by getting banned from most of the places they are squatting at. Once banned, they inevitably find another location to do this. They expect to be banned. It’s become just another part of what they do. They don’t care because they know that as long as there is always going to be another location on the internet to do their dirt…

If you are at all interested in censorship issues, you may already be aware of what has been dubbed the Streisand Effect. It is a fundamental assumption which states that the attempt to censor any given content will result in bringing more attention or interest to said content. It attracts more people than would have otherwise sought the content in the first place. I assume with a strong sense of certainty that this principle can be further applied to the skills needed to acquire censored content. If internet communication is blocked, many more people will be inspired to learn more about how the internet/computers work so they can circumvent that block.

Because communication is a process which relies on information being shared between multiple parties, censorship entails imposing an unnatural obstacle in the path of communication. I am demanding that you observe the obvious here. You either have communication or don’t. Trying to globally censor any type of information from being shared is like trying to stop a river by throwing a pebble in it. It just flows around.

As long as the internet exists, information will be shared on it. All the “good” information and all of the “bad” as well. There is only a single solution to ending the sharing of child pornography, or any other category of information shared over the internet. Deep down, you know what it is before I even say it. It may not even seem considerable, but it’s there. The only viable solution to ending the transfer of the content you hate once and for all. The final solution: We will have to completely destroy the internet.

So do it. I challenge all of you who want to end this sharing of child porn. Shut off the whole internet because it is the only way. Sure, the pedos will still exist in the world and they will continue using afk methods for sharing their child porn. Maybe they will go back to the old school methods of fapping at your son or daughter at the park. Maybe they would even molest your children instead of staying in and fapping at images on the internet. I really don’t know what they will do. I just know that by killing the internet, there will be no more child porn shared there. There will be no more Google, no more Amazon home shopping, no more youtube, no facebook, no twitter… no adult porn even! Oh woe is me. What is a world without internet porn? But a small price to pay, right?

If you actively hate pedos, then it is a worthy cause, right? After all, you’re either a pedo or else you must profess to be a paladin against them, right? You are so filled with rage at the thought of people touching themselves while watching children that you would sacrifice the entire internet to make a very small percentage of it’s users go afk to fap at kids… wouldn’t you?

Unless you can show an alternative solution to dismantling all forms of internet communication that will result in ending the sharing of child porn or any other type of information over the internet which you deem unworthy, this is your big opportunity, Sir Captain St. Justice! Kill the entire internet! It’s the only way! -_-

If you can accept this as the only way that child porn will stop being shared via the internet, then you have an important choice to make. It is time for you to weigh [the many advantages the internet provides the whole of society] against [the level of threat that is posed to society by relatively few members sharing outlawed content via the internet]. This is where your justification lies. There is no justice in harassing a majority of innocent internet users with privacy invasion and taking away their right to due process and a fair trial when you know full well that pedos are still going to pedos both online and offline, regardless of any attempt at censorship short of unplugging the whole damned tubes!

Children of the world, brothers and sisters, who have somehow managed to read this entire rant, my final Jimmy Wales appeal to you in this post is that you ask yourself: “Do I really want to live in a world that has pedos, but no internet?” Well. Do you? O_O
